On behalf of the PAC 10 of the EUSDR and together with the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration of Romania (ANCPI) we herewith cordially invite you to the workshop "Open Data from the Perspective of Data Protection" in Bucharest from November 20-21, 2017.

The workshop is a follow up and result of the CapaCity workshop on land information systems in the Danube Region taking place in June 2017 in Belgrade.

Following the successful three previous editions in Gorizia (Italy), the forth edition of the Danube:Future Interdisciplinary School was organized in Krems (A) by the Danube-University Krems. The School focused on the cultural and social implications of global change on the Danube River Basin and the core topics of interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity.

The Seed Money Facility Launch Event to be organised by the Danube Transnational Programme (DTP) on 27th September 2017 in Vienna aims to discuss and disseminate information about the:

- Danube Transnational Programme and EUSDR;

- DTP Call for proposals for the Seed Money Facility – to be launched in autumn 2017;

- Seed Money Facility in general;

- Seed Money Facility call for proposal in particular (rules and procedures);

- Topics addressed by the Seed Money Facility call;

On May 16th, BOKU University hosted the Austrian premiere of the documentary “Lives among Waters”, a film about the life in the Danube Delta, made by Dr. Oana Ivan.
The movie was presented in the frame of the CEEPUS network EcoManAqua in the workshop “A view on the Romanian aquatic life - endangered or invaded?”.

AEMS is an academic Summer School that offers a new approach: An evaluation of economic alternatives that considers natural boundaries and the human factor to be equal parts of the equation. Our goal: To help solve some of societies’ problems by presenting viable alternatives to processes and developments that are putting enormous strains on economic, ecologic and social boundaries.

This academic program links theoretical approaches to economic and monetary alternatives with subject-specific content from different scientific disciplines and work experience:

The conference ( ) aims to bring together researchers from different countries to discuss the scientific aspects of mapping and assessment of ecosystems and their services. It will be focused on the methods for mapping of ecosystem services, the challenges and problems of their implementation in the national assessments related to MAES. The program includes plenary sessions with keynotes and workshops on the main conference topics:

The aim of our surveys is to intensify interaction with the Danube River Basin Sustainability Community. The Danube:Future team would like to receive feedback and information from universities and scholars of the Danube region about their projects, activities, needs and suggestions. As coordinators of Danube:Future as flagship project of the EUSDR, we aim at building tools FOR the Community!

We are happy to announce the Second Call for the 18th International Scientific Conference on Economic and Social Development - "Building Resilient Society" (

Topics are focused, but not limited, on economic, legal and social challenges of the modern world:

•    Globalization and Challenges of the Modern World

•    The Economic Impact on Social Development and Democracy

•    Regional Development

Under the title “Innovative Flows - Water, Knowledge and Innovation in the Danube Region“, the Forum will put a strong emphasis on the challenges and perspectives of water management and research and innovation.  The key question to answer will be how to best transform political commitment into operational policies and measures.

As for the previous editions in Bucharest, Vienna and Ulm, Danube:Future team is present to this important event!

The conference is organized in the framework of project ‘’Valorizing the Montenegrin Katunsthrough sustainable development of agriculture and tourism - KATUN’’ Katuns as nuclei of traditional agriculture in mountain areas face many challenges.
