Dr. Ana-Maria Manea. MSc in Chemistry, 2011 with dissertation “Magnetic materials based on ferrite and chitosan for Cu2+ retention from wastewater”. PhD degree in 2014 with thesis related to “Nanostructured Materials Based on Natural Extracts with Potential Applications in Therapy and Biophotonics”. She has expertise in extraction and processing selective plant extracts; modern instrumental techniques for analysis of complex natural mixtures; synthesis and characterization of nanostructured lipid carriers containing vegetable biomolecules; synthesis and characterisation of thin films based on DNA and natural chromophores. Her scientific and technical results consist in: 23 papers published in ISI journals, 11 of them awarded by National Scientific Authority, 46 participations in international conferences.
