Severin Hohensinner, graduate engineer (DI, 1996) and PhD in landscape ecology/planning at the Institute of Hydrobiology & Aquatic Ecosystem Management (IHG), BOKU is senior researcher at the IHG since 2001. His specific expertise is the reconstruction and modelling of historical river/floodplain hydromorphology and fluvial dynamics with special emphasis on the Austrian Danube. He has been involved in several interdisciplinary projects in the fields of river landscape planning, aquatic/vegetation ecology and environmental history. Dr. Hohensinner is member of the Centre for Environmental History (ZUG) at IFF, Alpen-Adria University Klagenfurt (2011).
