L06: DANUrB - Capitalizing Danube's Culture for mor Attractive and Livable Towns

Sunday, July 16, 2017 - 11:00 to 12:30

Peter Morgenstein, PhD, Danube University Krems

The DANUrB project co-financed by the Danube Transnational Programme aims to create a network of stakeholders and urban places connected by the unifying topics of the Danube river. This network connecting seven countries is set up to valorize underused or unexplored heritage assets tied to the Danube, resulting in more attractive and interconnected destinations along the river, and in communities increasing their livability and identity. To achieve this we research the cultural urban landscapes along the Danube, and experiment with different projects to connect communities with their heritage related to the river.
