Dr. Ana Jakil is Head of Unit for Environment, Climate and Transport at the Federal Chancellery of Austria and Director of the futures research company FUTURELINE. She has more than 15 years of experience in project management, consulting and research in the field of sustainability transitions, governance and foresight. Prior to her current position, Jakil worked for the European Environment Agency, the Vienna University, the American Council for the United Nations University and the Ecosocial Forum Europe. Jakil holds a doctoral degree in political science, specializing in methodological and institutional requirements of foresight for promoting governance of sustainability transitions. She is a member of the EEA National Reference Centre for Forward-Looking Information and Scenarios and of the OECD Government Foresight Community. She also regularly serves in the UNECE and the OECD Environmental Performance Review Missions.
