A short presentation of yourself:
My name is Camillo Breiling. I am currently writing my doctoral theses at the Vienna Institute for Eastern European history on the topic "The Lipovans: Russian Old-Believers as a religious and lingual-cultural minority in the Romanian and Ukrainian Danube-Delta". Now I am collecting my data through 80 interviews and questionnaires with Old-Believers from diverse villages and towns in the Romanian and Ukrainian Danube-Delta (for example Tulcea, Sulina, Vilkovo, Kilija). For me the Danube Delta is a very interesting region, because it has been a splitted borderland since the end of World War II. Today it is the borderregion between Romania and Ukraine. In my opinion the occupation with the ethnical group of the Lipovans can help to understand the processes, which are currently taking part in the borderregions of the European Union. To share this experience with other students, it would be very interesting to take part in DIS in July 2017. Nice greetings, Camillo Breiling!
